Sometimes the hardest part of existing without your mom is that you still have to exist.

Family was family, whether you knew them or not.

But as I looked out at the water, I realized there was no grand solution to everything, no one right answer to anything.

I guess that's how the future is sometimes. Unknowable. But that doesn't mean you can't go in swinging.

I had to be my own hero now.

Sometimes you don't have to know where you're going, just that you're going.

Maybe that's what life is. A collection of moments all strung together, like beads on a necklace.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is just show up.

Maybe it's not about knowing everything. Maybe it's about knowing enough.

You can't know what you'll find until you go looking.

Life is full of surprises. Some good, some not so good. But you never know until you take the risk.

The past was something you couldn't change. All you could do was keep moving forward.
